  • Brightstone Blues, Brews and BBQs - hundreds of people enjoying an afternoon/evening of live music, boutique beer and food. For many people this event contains the essence of what summer is about and is held on the second Thursday in January every year.

  • Tauranga Harbour Challenge - a 24-km outrigger canoe race based at the Tauranga Fish and Dive Club at Sulphur Point.
Septemeber
  • Te Puke Kiwifruit Festival - a grand celebration of Te Puke’s kiwifruit. The event features a competition to find the Kiwifruit Queen, festival ball and Kiwifruit Expo show casing products and services related to the green and golden fruits.
December
  • Centralmed Tinman Triathlon - New Zealand’s premier Olympic distance triathlon event
