Getting To & From The Coromandel

Air: Auckland International Aiport is between 1-3 hours drive from the Coromandel. Auckland International Airport has flights to all the main centres in New Zealand, plus it is New Zealand's primary gateway for international flights.

Coach: Several companies offer a range of scheduled services to the Coromandel from Auckland, Tauranga, Rotorua, and Hamilton.

Self Drive: Auckland is about 1.5 hours (115 km) from Thames, or 3 hours from Whitianga (208km). Tauranga is about 2 hours from Thames (116 km) or 3 hours from Whitianga (172km).
