mountain race from Nelson Lakes to Hanmer Springs through the
Rainbow valley. Over 1000 riders take part in this event each

Ground Effect 12 Hour Day/Nighter Mountain Bike Race - a 12 hour race over a 9km course in the hills behind Hanmer Springs. This is usually a team event, but a small number of racers do compete as a solo rider.
