Wine Country - The Hawke's Bay has a reputation for producing quality red wines. Many of the regions wineries have cellar doors and vineyard restaurants. Drive yourself around the Hawke's Bay wine region or join a wine tour.

Art Deco City - Napier was rebuilt in the early 1930s after one of New Zealand's most destructive earthquakes. Many of the Art Deco and Spanish Mission buildings are still in place, and a guided walk allows you to see some of the best examples.

Cape Kidnappers - is a nature reserve that is home to the largest mainland gannet colony in the world. The best time to visit is from November to February.
