For a cheap and cheerful bite, which can be consumed in front of the luxurious views on Queenstown's
foreshore, try Planet 1. More salubrious in less than perfect weather is the arty Vudu café, where
visitors can join the locals for a healthy rice and vege bowl or the best home-made sausage rolls
in town. Another firm favourite is Leonardo's, which serves great breakfasts and awesome sandwiches.
For lunch, squeeze into the tiny Squeeze in the mall for the best soups and gourmet bagel sandwiches.
At the other end of town try Take Five for gorgeous coffee and juices that can be enjoyed at comfy
picnic tables on the Steamer Wharf.
At night the options are many. US President Bill Clinton dined happily on fabulous kai moana
(sea-food) at The Boardwalk on the Steamer Wharf. Saffron in Arrowtown, Gantley's at Arthur's
Point, Tatlers, The Bunker, Frasers or Minami Jujisei in Queenstown all provide superb food and
service for a special night out. Dining is a serious business in this resort and there are well
over 100 eateries to choose from.
